Background of Study
Environmental Management Technology (EMT) Research Group was found in 2006 as the result of migration between previously environmental management research group and environmental health research group.
The member of this research group are graduates from a highly respected university from the USA, France, UK, Australia, Netherland, Japan, and Indonesia. Nowadays, they are the main human resource and expert of water resources, management and planning of environmental quality, environmental health and safety, development based on community, and technology in the rural and urban place, water system and sanitation management, air quality management, soil management, environmental friendly technology, quality of sea and land, and development of environmental software.
This research group response well with local and global challenges in environmental management and technology, based on the resources that are available in tropical countries. EMT Research group are ready to work with the organization throughout the worlds to bring Indonesia as

The Scope of Research
The scope of research in Environmental Management Technology is very dynamic in order to respond the environmental problems that are fast and rapidly develop in this ever changing society. In such cases, the EMT Research Group pays attention to current local and global environmental issues, which sooner or later will affect the environment and local communities. Therefore, the scope of knowledge include ho to balance the progress of infrastructure development, around the increasing risk of environmental health, consumption of natural resources and energy, as well as human activities in producing pollutants. Environmental Modeling and Systems Analysis
The research and studies include water quality models in reservoirs, rivers and estuaries, optimization of energy use and pollutant disposal, pollutant dispersion calculations, soil erosion, expert environmental management systems, environmental systems analysis, management systems for groundwater, inter-system model development, management coast, environmental risk assessment and audit
Water Management and Conservation
The research includes integrated watershed management, drainage systems and flood management, surface water hydrodynamics, ecological water balance, water balance management, environmental preservation technology.
Environmental Toxicology and Risk Assessment
The research includes environmental health, epidemiology, environmental toxicology, biochemical toxicology, aquatic toxicology, occupational toxicology, biomarkers, health risk assessment.
Occupational Health and Safety
The research includes work safety management systems, industrial hygiene, occupational health and safety, noise control, radiation safety, industrial ventilation, quality management and safety, emergency response programs.
