ABET
The Environmental Engineering Study Program since October 1, 2012 has been accredited by ABET/ Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology – Engineering Accreditation Commission (http://www.abet.org).
With the end of the ABET accreditation period on September 30, 2023, the environmental engineering study program will submit a termination plan to ABET because on July 8, 2022, the environmental engineering study program will participate in the IABEE international accreditation program.
IABEE
IABEE is an independent Indonesian accreditation agency that continues to strive to gain recognition from the international community. Currently, IABEE has become a member of the Washington Accord (WA) with Provisional Signatory status. Washington Accord (WA) is an international cooperation agreement in the field of accreditation of engineering study programs (bachelor of engineering) under the umbrella of the International Engineering Alliance (IEA) where ABET and IABEE are members of this alliance.
With the same benefits between ABET and IABEE, ITB encourages study programs that are and/or have not been ABET accredited to participate in IABEE accreditation. IABEE accreditation is recognized by the Indonesian Ministry of Education and Culture through Kepmendikbud No. 83 of 2020 concerning International Accreditation Institutions, and was also recognized by the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN PT) for obtaining an Excellent Accreditation rating of BAN PT.
